THE MANAGEMENT GREATLY APPRECIATES YOUR PATIENCE

One of the things I have liked to think of as a great strength of Antagony & Ecstasy is the implacable pace of it: one goddamn review a day, every day, and two when I get the chance - three if I am a very good little boy. Which is why it pains me to have to state that things are going to be very erratic for the next several days - some complex, busy-making things going on in life both professionally and personally (pro tip: your kitchen is fine the way it is, don't bother remodeling it). I have a whole stack of movies that I've watched just waiting for reviews, and they'll all mostly come out eventually. In the meantime, some previews:

The Book of Life: You are SO PRETTY. And your soundtrack choices are SO FILM-DESTROYING. And your gender politics were that close to being awesome.

Point Break: Hollywood Century, 1991: in which Keanu playing a six-year-old doing an impression of Christian Bale's Batman surprisingly doesn't even come close to derailing one of the bitchingest action movies of the early '90s.

House of Wax '05: I hate Paris in the fall.

Birdman: So, I still haven't seen it, all right? Limited releases fucking suck.

And there are movies I missed in 2014. Time to start catching up with some of them...
